In Feb 2018, upon the closure of Natural Motion Oxford I, along with two other ex-colleagues decided to go it on our own and form our own micro studio.

The result is Actual Games.

We're currently working actively on two mobile game prototypes.

All of the work below is from our first, A collectable character battle game currently titled 'Collectables'

As part of Actual games I have also contracted my services to EdPlus as a UI and UX designer, as well as to Internet of Elephants where I created Logos, Concept art and marketing materials, UI and UX concepts and assets as well as character illustration for their upcoming game, Wildeverse.

Unfortunately, both of these projects are too early in development to allow work to be included here.

UI and UX design

I use Marvel app to quickly create interactive UX flows. These can then be populated with representative, or even final quality art and animations to mimic the final product. 

I've used this process very successfully for Natural Motion, Edtopia, Internet of Elephants and Actual Games.

Animation

Although I've worked many times as a animator (and indeed possess a 1st class degree in animation)  I would never class myself as AAA.

I mostly use my animation skills to proof out ideas, mock up game play concepts etc.

I've recently had to create a lot of full character animation for our game. To do this practically in the time we had. I devised a style that emphasised my strong points (and was fairly quick to produce).
